On Monday, August 18th, The Lost Colony and their neighbors at Fort Raleigh National Historic Site invite everyone from field and town to celebrate Virginia Dare’s birthday.

The Lost Colony and National Park Service are hosting Virginia Dare Faire.  An exciting morning full of merriment and interactive exhibits has been planned and includes Indians, field games, red soldier patrol, face painting and much, much, more.

In addition to all of the games and activities, revelers will be treated to snow cones. The Faire will be held on the lawn near the National Park Service Visitor’s Center. Festivities begin at 10:00 am and end with cake and ice cream at the Waterside Theatre at 1:00 pm.

The celebration continues that evening with a special performance of The Lost Colony featuring local infants in the role of Virginia Dare!
