Backstage Tour
Backstage Tours give an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how we make history.
Want to learn more about what it takes to keep The Lost Colony running every night? Take a Backstage Tour to find out! Starting at the entrance to the Waterside Theatre, our tour guides will regale you with 87 years of history. You’ll learn about the theatre’s origins during the Great Depression, see where a President came to view the show, and hear stories about the hurricane, fires and World War that threatened to end the production.
Once backstage, you’ll see actors and technicians in the wild as they prepare to put on one of The Lost Colony 75 summer performances. You’ll witness award-winning costumes up close, swords and armor being polished, a “boat” pulling into harbor, and so much more!
Backstage Tours depart nightly during the season at 7:30pm. Tours cost $15 per person.
