Thanks for a Great 2016 Season!
The 79th Season of America’s longest-running symphonic drama closed on Saturday, August 20th with final show attendance of more than 800 spectators. The cast and crew extend a generous thank you to the Outer Banks community for their continued support and hospitality. Changes in the production generated interest throughout the Outer Banks this summer. One of the changes in the 2016 production included the dedication of The Lost Colony season to the National Park Service during their Centennial Celebration. Rave reviews on TripAdvisor included, “This is the “granddaddy” of all outdoor dramas and is by far the best. From Broadway quality set design and costuming to an action packed performance, The Lost Colony is a quality evening of entertainment and history.” The 80th anniversary season of The Lost Colony will begin in May of 2017.
In addition to the main performance, The Lost Colony continued its PNC presents Live at The Waterside Concert Series bringing World Turning: A Tribute To Fleetwood Mac, Dawes, and Who’s Bad?-Michael Jackson Tribute Band. Other events throughout the year included: Comedy Tonight!, Children’s Show: Stellaluna and Other Tales, Character Dinners, Backstage Tours, Virginia Dare Faire, The Mystery of The Lost Colony, and many others.
