The Hunting of the Snark
Sponsored by Outer Banks ACE
The Lost Colony is proud to announce our 2018 Children’s Show. In its North American premiere, The Hunting of the Snark will delight, excite and entertain the whole family. The Hunting of the Snark is a book by Annabel Wigoder, inspired by the poem by Lewis Carroll, with music and lyrics by Gareth Cooper. This production is generously sponsored by Outer Banks ACE.
This is the impossible voyage of an improbable crew to hunt an imaginary creature. A ragtag gang of bold adventurers including the Banker, the Boy, the Butcher, the Baker, the Bellman and the knitting Beaver set off on a quest to catch the mythical Snark… on the journey they encounter the Jub Jub bird, the sly Bandersnatch and the dastardly Boojum. Join us for this silly adventure to catch the Snark!
Directed by and set design by Esther Neel, from Lexington Children’s Theatre, and Jordan W. Prescott as Musical Director. Performances are held Wednesdays and Thursdays at 2:00 PM, through August 16th, in our Sound Stage Theatre on the grounds of The Lost Colony on Roanoke Island. All tickets are $10 and are available by phone at 252-473-6000 or online at TheLostColony.org.
